this is a commission i did of Lady Mechanika one of the newer comics out by Aspen, created by Joe Benitez ( [link] ) ,at comic con for a very nice guy names Bryce. he was cool enough to send me a copy so i could post it up. if anyone is interested in coloring it let me know it would be neat to see how it would turn out i think.
thanks again Bryce
thanks again Bryce
WOW, I love the detail you put into this. I also love your newest Lady M piece (the scuba gear commission). They are gorgeous. Can I ask, how much would you charge for something like this? I'm looking to have a commission done at the next C2E2.
I would like to color this for practice if that's okay :]
by all means, i look forward to seeing it when its all done. let me know so i can take a look.
like the choice of using purple should be neat. just a heads up though Joe designed her to have whites of her eyes black. when it comes to skin look at real people or how painters handle it unless youre looking to go more cartoony.
Beautiful piece! I really enjoy your line work!
AMAZING! this style has brought back my memories of the days i used to draw this much detail..ahh i thank you for being an inspiration, this is awesome im sure i will get around to favorite all of your work here on deviant art
Very nice! Are you a comic book artist? If not, you should be.
i am actually, thanks though, i recently finished up Mindfield for Aspen Comics and am now working on Fathom.
Fathom! That was the first comic book I ever bought, got started a little late as far as reading comics. I went to an Atomic Comics in Arizona (they recently closed sadly) and was browsing comics and saw one of the first issues of Fathom and was hooked by Michael Turner's art. I'll have to follow your work, I check Aspen Comics from time to time.
get your steampunk on, I like this
Nice work Alex! I'm glad I was able to see the whole process of this piece.
Great job on this, love it!
Did you meet Miss Kato, the girl this character is modeled after?
i haven't. i have seen some of her work and photos of her modeling it, but never got to meet her in person
Looks awesome man! Every time I see you post you get better and better.
Nice work Alex! I'm really digging your Aspen stuff.
